Please read the instruction before making booking .

General Instructions
Medical Fitness Certficate

Course participants to carry a medical fitness certificate from DG Shipping approved doctor. If you don’t possess valid certificate, then same can be conducted at our Associated Medical Center, charges applicable Rs 750/-.

Photo

Coloured Passport size photos(3.5 * 2.5). It should be in formal dress code with light background. Photo with T-shirt and Specs not allowed. Photo in uniform with peak cap or Epaulette to be avoided.

Dress Code

As far as Formals. However Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are strictly not permitted for the course.

PPE At Practicals

Course which includes doing Physical exercises/Practical training, required the following PPE, same to be brought by candidates.

(a) Valid DGS approved doctor medical certificate in ILO format xerox copy

(b) Kindly bring your own towel, extra pair of undergarments, towel, soap and shop box along with Boiler suits & safety shoes (If you don’t possess Boilor Suits & Safety Shoe, you can hire these at academy for nominal rental charges).

(c) No candidate will be allowed to attend the course/practical without wearing full PPE gears.

Complimentary Things

Course handouts Soft copy , Breakfast and tea are provided to all participants of the modular course during the training. If course timing exceeds seven Hours then Lunch will be Provided.

Class Timings

Reporting Time : 0700 hrs

For EFA - xxxx, For PSSR- xxxx, For STSDSD - xxxx , For other Courses – xxxx.

Attendance

100% Attendance in the course is strictly required. Non attendants shall not be issued with course certificates. A candidate having shortfall in attendance needs to compensate the same in the next subsequent batch subject to availability of seat. Additionally the candidate needs to pay the fee 50%.

Exit Exam

On completion of the course an examination is conducted. All participants have to be clear the test in order to receive the certificate.

Fee Structure

The fee structure may change without any prior notice. Payment

Course can be booked in advance and Payment can be made through Net Banking after checking the annual Course schedules.

If the amount is debited from your Bank Account but error page displayed , you can report such occurrence to vims.chennai@gmail.com . Admission Helpdesk will help to block the seat. However Course booking is subject to seat availability.

Incase Debit card/ Credit Card /App based Payment :

Transaction/Service Charges charged would be borne by candidate for any payment.

Transaction/Service Charges would not be refunded/ reversed under any circumstances for any refund/ reversal /chargeback and any other reasons.

Shifting

If by any means a candidate is unable to undergo the course on the concern date, the same can be shifted to next available date as per the availability within 3 months without any additional charges. Any shifting of course to be informed at least one week in advance with a written request either via email or by a letter in person.

A shifting charge of 20% of the course fee is applicable towards shifting one or more courses not exceeding 6 months (Interchange of name is not permissible). One cannot shift any course booking beyond 6 months, in that case he has to cancel the course now and rebook later.

In case a candidate wants to shift to higher course fees batch, then he/she needs to pay the difference in fees also.

Cancellation

In case a candidate wants to cancel any course booked, the same need to be requested either via email or through a written application with a valid reason to the management. Kindly note that approving the cancellation is at the sole discretion of the management.

Refund

The Refund policies are applicable to the courses originally registered and refunds are not applicable to a course that has been carried forward by shifting to an alternative date. Receipt in original to be surrendered for refund upon which refund shall be processed in 7-10 working days. NO REFUNDS will be processed without original receipt.

Duplicate Receipt & Certificate

Duplicate receipts will be issued by remitting 10% of the course fee per receipt.

Candidate has to submit the Hard copy of FIR for record with written application along with Stamp size photo for per course Certificate, Cash of Rs. 500/-(For Printout with attestation) per duplicate certificate.

For Change in Certificate Rs 1000/- per certificate. The same will be issued In 2 to 3 working day depending on the availability of the authorized signatory.

Accomodation

We arrange for Accommodation stay for candidates who are doing course with us as following rates: (Charges Inclusive of all taxes)Dormitory type stay:Non A/c Eight sharing:

1). Less than 3 Days Rs 300/day

2). Less than 10 Days 250/day

3). More than 10 Days Rs 200 /day (Eight person can share)Non A/C single room(with attached bathroom): Rs 800/day,Non A/C single room 2 Person Sharing(with attached bathroom): Rs 600/Person,Non A/C single room 3 Person Sharing(with attached bathroom): Rs 500/-.

Helpdesk

Person For accommodation, support, route and guidance, candidate can call and seek guidance with dedicated person in-charge mob number +91-9884858010.

Minimum Strength

Institute may cancel the course at any juncture due to internal technical reasons or due to insufficient strength for the course.

For Value Added and Offshore Courses Minimum 3-4 students required to confirm the batch.

For DGS Course is subject to confirmation from minimum 25% of the course capacity.

Batch dates are subject to change.

Dispute Resolution

All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Chennai City only.

Foreign Students

Candidates who are visiting India to undergo any courses should be holding valid student visa, if not they would not be permitted to the course. Candidate is resident of Sri Lanka OR ANY FOREIGN NATIONAL, can take a course On student visa.
